Wilford K. Gibson, M.D., a Sports Medicine Surgeon with Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists is being featured this month on Bon Secours “Medical Matters” radio segments. In these spots Dr. Gibson gives tips on how to prevent sports related injuries from occurring this summer, and treatment options available to those that are injured. ìMedical Mattersî will be featured on WKUS (Kiss) 105.3 FM, WVBW (The Wave) 92.9 FM, WWDE (2WD) 101.3 FM, WXEZ (The Star) 94.1 FM and WNIS 790 AM.
Dr. Gibson is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in Sports Medicine and Trauma. He earned his medical degree from MCV and completed two orthopaedic fellowships before joining AOS. He is currently on the Board of Councilors with the AAOS and is a past-President of the Virginia Orthopaedic Society.
