Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists is pleased to extend congratulations to Michael A. Campbell, M.D., who recently achieved board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
Physicians become board eligible after completion of four years of medical school, three years of internship & residency focusing on orthopaedic surgery and an additional two years of clinical experience. Then after successfully passing both written and oral orthopaedic board examinations, the doctor becomes board certified and becomes a diplomate of the ABOS for a ten year period.
Dr. Campbell obtained his medical degree from the State University of New York – Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He then completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA and an Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Campbell enjoys skiing, snowboarding, water sports, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
