Dr. Wilford K. Gibson of Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists will be giving a presentation entitled ìInnovations in Hip Replacementî on Thursday, April 13, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. The program will take place at Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy located at 7300 Newport Avenue in Norfolk, VA.
In this talk, Dr. Gibson will discuss the direct anterior approach to hip replacement and how the procedure results in a shorter recovery period. In addition, patients have lessened post-operative pain, reduced trauma to nearby muscles, and experience a quicker resumption of their everyday activities.
