Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists: Proud Platinum Sponsor
AOS’s involvement with the Cody Childers Memorial Golf Tournament is more than a sponsorship; it’s a commitment to honoring and supporting those who serve. Since 2017, AOS has proudly participated in this event, and this year was no exception. Our support as a platinum sponsor is our way of giving back to the community and honoring Cody’s memory alongside his family, friends, and the many military supporters who attend each year.
In addition to our sponsorship, members of the AOS team showed their support on the green. Dr. Chad R. Manke and Dr. Bradley T. Butkovich participated in the tournament, representing AOS and showing our gratitude for the sacrifices made by Cody and others like him. Their involvement underscores our practice’s commitment to not only caring for our patients but also standing behind our military families in meaningful ways.
A Lasting Impact on Our Community
The Cody Childers Memorial Golf Tournament serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military members and the enduring spirit of community support. AOS is grateful to be a part of this event and remains committed to supporting the Childers family and our local military community. We are honored to help keep Cody’s memory alive and to contribute to an organization that brings comfort and hope to those in service.
Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists looks forward to many more years of partnership with the We Care Marines Foundation, supporting military families and honoring the legacy of Cody Childers and others like him who serve bravely.
This year, AOS was honored to once again serve as the platinum sponsor for the Cody Childers 14th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament, held on October 10th, 2024. The tournament brings together sponsors, golfers, and supporters to honor the legacy of Cody Childers, a brave Marine and Virginia Beach native who lost his life in 2010 while serving in Afghanistan.
Honoring Cody Childers Through a Legacy of Support
Cody Childers’ memory is continuously honored by his family, Wendy and Randy Childers, who have channeled their grief into an inspiring cause. Since his passing, they have sent more than 15,000 care packages to Marines, veterans, wounded warriors, and military families through the We Care Marines Foundation. These care packages remind deployed military members that they are appreciated and supported, offering comfort and supplies to those who sacrifice so much for our freedom. Each package is a testament to Cody’s spirit and his family’s dedication to help others, showing that his memory lives on in the lives of those who serve.
